Stillwater is not a meditation app wearing a game. It is a mobile games studio that takes human psychology seriously.
The studio
Eclipse Labs is an independent mobile games studio based in London, UK. We build calm-wellness games for adults, a category that sits in the gap between standard casual games and dedicated meditation apps.
Our games are designed to be genuinely enjoyable, not therapeutic tools in disguise. The difference is the science underneath: game mechanics, pacing, audio, and interaction design are all informed by research in human motivation, attention, and emotional regulation.
The founder
Eclipse Labs was founded by Dr. Shahriar Keshavarz, whose doctoral research focused on the psychology of human motivation. That academic foundation is the studio's primary differentiator.
Before Eclipse Labs, Shah held senior consumer insights roles at EA Sports FC, Xbox (Microsoft), and Amazon, building a decade of experience in understanding how people engage with digital products. Stillwater is the product of that psychology and that experience working together.
The vision
Most casual games are optimised for engagement metrics: sessions, retention, revenue. We optimise for something different: how the player feels when they put the game down. Restored, not depleted. Focused, not frazzled.
The Stillwater portfolio, Classic Solitaire, Mahjong, and Sudoku, shares a unified design system, a single subscription, and the Listen audio feature. Each game is a complete experience. Together they form a calm space that travels with you.

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Stillwater mobile application, including all content, features, and services made available through the App. The App is operated by Eclipse Labs Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
Stillwater is a product of Eclipse Labs Limited, registered in England and Wales. All rights in and to the App, including its content, branding, and intellectual property, are owned by or licensed to Eclipse Labs Limited.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian, who also agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You may register an account using your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts at our discretion.

All prices are displayed in the App and are subject to change. Prices include applicable taxes where required by law.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorise us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis without further authorisation until you cancel. Lifetime purchases are a single one-time charge with no recurring billing. You are solely responsible for managing your subscription and cancelling before any renewal date you do not wish to be charged for. Eclipse Labs Limited accepts no liability for charges arising from failure to cancel in time.
All purchases made through the App are processed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refunds are subject exclusively to the refund policies of those platforms. Eclipse Labs Limited does not process refunds directly and has no obligation to provide refunds for forgetting to cancel a subscription before renewal, partial use of a subscription period, lifetime purchases once completed, or one-time add-on purchases. To request a refund, contact Apple or Google directly through their respective support channels.
Where a free trial is offered, it will convert automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial expires. You will be notified of the applicable subscription price before the trial begins.
The App may display third-party advertisements. The presence of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement of the advertised product or service by Eclipse Labs Limited. Certain subscription tiers may remove advertising from the App.
The App provides breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, and wellness content for general informational and recreational purposes only. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Breathing exercises may not be suitable for everyone. If you have a heart condition, epilepsy, are pregnant, or have been advised by a healthcare professional to avoid breathwork, please consult your doctor before using the breathing features. Eclipse Labs Limited accepts no liability for any adverse physical or psychological effects arising from use of wellness or breathing features within the App.
The Listen feature provides audio series covering topics such as wellbeing, relaxation, mindfulness, sleep, and related subjects for general informational, entertainment, and enrichment purposes only. The Audio Content does not constitute medical, clinical, or therapeutic advice, psychological or psychiatric treatment, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. If you are experiencing a physical or mental health concern, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
All content within the App is the property of Eclipse Labs Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content in the App without our express written permission.
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code, interfere with the App or its servers, use automated tools to access the App, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App.
The App integrates third-party services including Apple App Store, Google Play Store, AppLovin, Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, Firebase, and other analytics or advertising platforms. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Eclipse Labs Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to Eclipse Labs Limited in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may collect account data (email address, username, encrypted password), usage and activity data (session duration, game progress, subscription status, device type, IP address and approximate location), and advertising and analytics data via third-party SDKs (advertising identifiers where consented, ad interaction data, crash reports, analytics events).
We collect data directly from you when you create an account, make a purchase, or contact us; automatically through the App as you use it; and through third-party SDKs integrated into the App.
We process your personal data on the basis of contract performance (to provide the App and process subscriptions), legitimate interests (to improve the App and prevent fraud), consent (for advertising identifiers and non-essential analytics), and legal obligation (where required by law).
We use your data to create and manage your account, process purchases, provide and improve the App, personalise your experience, serve and measure advertising, analyse usage, diagnose technical issues, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.
We integrate Apple App Store, Google Play Store, AppLovin / MAX Mediation, Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, Firebase, and may add further analytics or advertising partners. We do not sell your personal data. We share data with these services only to the extent necessary to operate the App.
Where the App displays personalised advertising, we will request your consent to use advertising identifiers in accordance with applicable law, including Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You may withdraw consent or opt out through your device settings. Non-personalised advertising may still be shown if you decline consent.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the App. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where required for legal or accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records).
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data storage, secure transmission (HTTPS/TLS), and access controls. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal data should contact us at info@eclipseer.com.
Some of our third-party service providers operate outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
Under UK GDPR you have the right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to restriction, right to data portability, right to object, and right to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@eclipseer.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We may collect data on which series and episodes you access, listen duration, and engagement to personalise recommendations and improve the feature. We do not collect or process health data as a result of your use of the Listen feature.
The App may use local storage, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies for functionality, analytics, and advertising purposes. You can manage advertising identifier settings through your device's privacy settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
